Continuing Education Requirements
Renewal of a pre-license instructor certificate shall require annual completion of 12 hours of approved continuing education during the current certification period. The 12 hours shall include four hours in the mandatory topic prescribed by the Commission. Courses are available through LREC-certified real estate vendors. View a list of LREC-certified vendors.
Completed continuing education hours shall not include actual instruction hours.
MANDATORY TOPIC
2024 Mandatory Course – LREC Mandatory Forms and Hot Topics – (this course must be taken by BOTH active salespersons and brokers).
2024 Commercial Mandatory Alternate – Unlocking Value & Capital: Sale Leaseback Analysis – (this course may be taken by BOTH active salespersons and brokers as a substitution for the LREC 2024 Mandatory Course).
Mandatory course topic(s) must be completed through an approved LREC-certified real estate vendor prior to license renewal as part of the 12-hour continuing education requirement. View a list of LREC-certified vendors.

The mandatory course must be completed through an approved real estate school or vendor by December 31, as part of the 12-hour continuing education requirement for license renewal.
These courses should not be confused with similar courses of the same name. Be specific and request the LREC mandatory topic course.
