Advertising Guidelines
Licensees are directed to Revised Statute 37:1455(35) in the license law and Chapter 25 of the rules and regulations should they have any questions about advertising.
Review the Advertising Guidelines Checklist below to avoid committing common violations. This document is designed to assist licensees in understanding the law and rules when developing advertising campaigns.
Licensees with advertising violations will receive a Notice of Violation and a $250.00 fine for first-time infractions. Second infractions will result in a $500.00 fine. Third infractions will result in a $1,500 fine. All subsequent advertising violations will require the agent and sponsoring broker to appear before the Commission. All fines will be levied against both the agent and their sponsoring broker. Team violations will result in penalties levied against all team members and the sponsoring broker.
